> ardoch youth foundation
|
Ardoch Youth Foundation is a community funded organisation which has been working to make education a reality for young people including those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage since 1988. Education provides the means for creating options and choices in life.
We recognise that when young people and families experience things like homelessness, poverty, family breakdown, alcohol or drug abuse, violence, unemployment, death or mental illness in the family, learning or language difficulties, it can be really difficult to access an education, difficult to learn and difficult to stay at school.
We also recognise that many early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools lack the resources and ability to respond adequately to young people in such circumstances. This is where the Ardoch expertise lies.
Ardoch Volunteers work in a range of settings at early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools and at the Ardoch Centre. Ardoch is committed to providing our volunteers with ongoing learning opportunities and ensuring their volunteering experiencing is both rewarding and enjoyable.
