Oxfam Australia is setting up the Refugee Realities Project (RRP), an interactive simulation exercise that recreates the experience of a refugee or IDP, from displacement to permanent settlement, either in their own or in a foreign country. It will take place in 2008 in Australia’s capital cities and major regional centres to give visitors an insight into the issues confronting refugees and IDPs and how humanitarian agencies such as Oxfam Australia assist displaced people in achieving their basis rights in crisis.
