The Lighthouse Foundation is an Australian, non-denominational, not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to empowering young people to take responsibility for their own lives.

Lighthouse provides long-term care and support within a family/community environment to young people aged 15-22, who may otherwise be homeless.

As a small, professionally run organisation, Lighthouse welcomes and relies greatly on volunteer involvement in many areas.

| Cooking, gardening, cleaning & maintenance;

| | Mentors are trusted counsellors, advisors, teachers, helpers, employers, trainers and friends;

| | Tutors encourage and motivate learning, help with homework and teach special skills;

| | Clerical tasks, mailouts, correspondence, filing and bookkeeping;

| | Become an active member of a house Community Committee;

| Assist with fundraising events and special projects;

| Garden maintenance or supervision of young people on the garden program;
